WPD Investigating a Home Break In

Type:  announcements

The Wellesley Police Department is investigating a home break in that occurred on Monday, July 2, 2012.

An Arnold Road resident returned home just after 4PM to find the back door to their home forced open. Officer Jenny Rowe, Lieutenant Marie Cleary, and Detective Chris Connelly all responded to the scene to investigate. Once the officers searched the house and determined the suspects were not there, Detective Connelly processed the scene to gather evidence.

After interviewing the home owner, officers believe that the break in took place during the daylight hours on Monday when the resident was not home. Some items of value were removed from the house during the burglary. There were no other break ins reported on Monday in Wellesley.

The Wellesley Police Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating this case.
