Traffic Alert for Saturday October 13

A section of Linden Street will be closed on Saturday, October 13th, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM in the area of the Rockland Street bridge.  The closure will run from Kirkland Circle to Rockland Street at Route 9 east.  Wellesley Police officers will be on scene directing traffic and there will be a detour in place at Kirkland Circle.  Local traffic will be allowed through, however, no vehicles will be able to drive in the area of the bridge project due to a large crane blocking the entire street. 

Construction crews at the Rockland Street bridge project will be installing large steel beams from Rockland Street over the railroad tracks to Washington Street during this road closure.  The bridge contractor reports that the bridge is still slated to open sometime in December to traffic.

Any changes to the detour or the road closure this Saturday will be posted by the Wellesley Police Department.
